Message from the Vicar
"Thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Cori, 15:57).
LENT,the annual celebration of God¡¦s salvation history is a time of renewal. Fifty days of spiritual discipline will definitely help us to focus on the Cross of Christ which will bring newness in to our life for a legitimate and relevant existence. Renewal is very essential to us all to be blessed and victorious. Have faith in the One who can make us victorious and let us look unto Him for guidance.
I hope and pray that all the celebrations and programmes we have during these days may bring more blessings and insights for us all.
- As a parish we are completing 6 years as a parish in East London. Let us be thankful to God and let us renew our commitment to the Kingdom of God. We are planning to celebrate the Parish day on 1st of April, 2012,(Sunday). Rev.Jameson P.K, Vicar of Dublin Mar Thoma Church has consented to be the Chief Guest on the day.
- New Office bearers for the year 2012-13 have been elected and the minutes were sent for approval. I wish them all Good wishes and prayers. They will start functioning after the AGM in May 2012. Let us be thankful to all those who have served us in the year 2011-12.
- Please find some time on Fridays to attend the prayer and Bible study conducted by our Edavaka Mission, from 7.30 P.M. to 8.30 P.M. at the residences of our members.
- Please take note of the programmes and timings of the Holy week and attend fully with your family.
- We are at the tail end of one financial year and in April we enter into the new financial year. Let us be thankful to God who protected us last year in spite of the global financial crisis and commit ourselves and our financial situation into the Hands of the One who gives us Victory.(but do not forget to honour the Lord with our wealth).
